LGBTQ+ individuals face many of the same health concerns as cis, heterosexual individuals. However, many health issues are unique only to subgroups of the LGBTQ+ community. Prevention, screening, mental health and family planning are some of the areas in which healthcare needs to be different in order to be inclusive of people who are not cisgender and heterosexual.
